Greetings From Alcatraz, Wish you Were Here!

Our second full day in San Francisco started off at the ROCK!  One of the most interesting stops on the trip is the 1 mile ferry ride over to Alcatraz.  Everyone went to the jailhouse first thing to listen to the audio tour.  It is taped and told by former inmates and officers from the prison.  Therefore, as you tour you are getting a first hand account of what it was like when it was a prison. 

It is still very quiet in the prison with everyone listening to the audio tour, it makes it somewhat eerie.  I think everyone in the group would agree that it was fascinating.n  It was the perfect combination of information and beauty.  The views of San Francisco are some of the best you can get!
After the tour, we took the ferry back together, and no one had to stay!  The rest of the day was given as free time in San Francisco!  What a great day!
