After leaving the San Diego Zoo, we ventured down to the harbour in San Diego. There is a retired air craft carrier forever parked there for all to see. We boarded the ship and had the opportunity to go below and see what life is like on one of those big ships! We saw everything from where they slept to where they showered and ate! It was really interesting!
After touring down below we went up on the flight deck to check out the planes and landing areas! What a truly unique and humbling experience! I don't think I could live in those quarters!

LIke a Bunch of Monkeys.....San Diego Zoo
Once again, we hit the ground running. Early Monday morning we headed south to San Diego, our first stop the world famous San Diego Zoo! After getting everyone through the gates the group was turned loose to explore the zoo in groups. Since I wasn't with all the groups, I had to borrow pictures from some of the kids, so I hope you enjoy what you see! I will get more pictures from other groups and add them soon!
From what I hear everyone really like the apes. They apparently put on quite a show for the groups!

Laguna Beach
Sunday afternoon, after walking among the stars, we headed down to Laguna Beach! The weather was perfect. Not too hot or humid, just right for an afternoon at the beach. Now, the water was a different story. As the group stormed the pacific, they quickly realized it is very different than the Atlantic! The water was COLD! It was priceless to see their faces as they ran to the water and quickly ran back.
Many of them didn't last long at the waters edge, instead they made their way up to the shoppes on the beach or played a little beach volleyball!
