Leaving Colorado Springs is always sad because it's our first 2 night stop, but at least we were on our to even better things! The group rolled out of Colorado Springs early because we had a train to catch!
Over a few mountians, through the woods, and one million dollar highway later we rolled into Silverton Colorado, where we enjoyed lunch before catching the train.
The Silverton-Durango Rail Road is one of the last narrow gauge rail roads still in operation today. Sitting in one of the open cars, we had remarkable views of San Juan National Park! Enjoy the views, the pictures are amazing so you can only imagine what it was like to see it in person.
